Below is a summary of planned roadworks
Restricted access at Roe Highway Karel Avenue interchange
Work is continuing to widen and improve the Roe Highway Karel Avenue roundabout and a number of closures and restrictions to vehicle movements are now in place.
Until 5am on Saturday 7 November, there will be no right turn access to the Roe Highway east-bound entry ramp from Karel Avenue north-bound.
- The Karel Avenue off ramp from Roe Highway east-bound is now also closed. This change was made following safety concerns, and signage will be placed on Kwinana Freeway to alert drivers.
- Traffic heading south on Karel Avenue after Farrington Road will still be able to access Roe Highway east-bound, as will traffic heading east on Roe Highway after coming off Kwinana Freeway.
- Detours will be in place to access Roe Highway from Kwinana Freeway or South Street, and to access Karel Avenue south-bound via Farrington Road or Berrigan Drive.
- The best way to reach Jandakot Airport and the adjacent industrial area is via Berrigan Drive and Pilatus Street.
- Restricted Access Vehicles south of Roe Highway should avoid travelling north on Karel Avenue.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists around the intersection will remain restricted during the construction period, so the existing Principal Shared Path (PSP) detours will remain in place
